In a dramatic twist worthy of a political soap opera, Temba Mliswa’s baby mama has come forward, apparently fueled by a potent truth serum, to fiercely defend Zimbabwe’s Vice President Constantino Chiwenga against corruption allegations made by Mliswa himself.
The accusations flew when Mliswa pointed fingers at Chiwenga, charging him with corruption. But in response, his baby mama didn’t hold back, declaring Chiwenga an honest man who “leaves an honest legacy.” She didn’t stop there, she threw some serious shade at both Mliswa and President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s characters.
According to her, Chiwenga’s workers get paid on time, unlike Mliswa’s, whose employees supposedly face chronic wage delays. She also revealed that the controversial Borodale house , under scrutiny for ownership , was actually inherited by Chiwenga from his former wife, Mary Mubhaiwa, after their divorce, putting rumors to rest.
Then, taking a sharp jab, she claimed: “V.P Chiwenga is not like ED Mnangagwa and Temba Mliswa, who go around sleeping with other men’s women in the office, hence turning the president’s office into a brothel.” A bold statement that has left tongues wagging across the nation.
Adding a note of pride, she highlighted Chiwenga’s reputation as a prominent farmer and praised the work ethic of her late sister, using it as a benchmark to affirm Chiwenga’s hard-working nature. She swore that the VP has “made it a point to work hard and not steal from the nation.”
This unexpected defense, layered with scandalous allegations and a touch of family drama, has certainly stirred the political pot in Zimbabwe. Whether this will lead to further revelations or just more mudslinging remains to be seen , but one thing is clear: in Zimbabwe’s political theatre, the plot thickens daily, and the audience is hooked.
