Six Men Arrested for Abducting and Assaulting Zebra Kiss Bus Passenger

Six men have been apprehended by the police for the abduction and assault of Charlotte Dube, a cross-border trader who was brutally beaten for hours using planks. The suspects, who are part of the Zebra Kiss bus crew, accused Dube of theft after a fellow passenger claimed to have lost a parcel.

According to reports, the bus conductor, Pardy, ordered Dube to remain in the bus, and she was driven to the company’s garage where five men took turns to bash her. Dube sustained visible injuries on her hands, buttocks, and back.

The passenger who had claimed to have lost the parcel later called the bus crew and advised them that her parcel was not stolen. The Zebra Kiss manager, Kudakwashe Mupfukirei, has since apologized to Dube and offered to compensate her loss and injury with a US$300 payment.

Dube described the Zebra Kiss crew as heartless and said the incident has destroyed her trust in the bus company. The suspects are expected to appear in court, and the police are investigating the matter.

This incident highlights the need for accountability and respect for passengers’ rights in the transportation industry. The outcome of the court case will be closely watched, and many are hoping for justice to be served.
