Headmaster Cries Extortion

Allan Wilson High School Headmaster, Tafara Zhou who was subpoenaed last month for s#xually abusing a former student has now bounced back,accusing the victim by filing an extortion complaint against the same former student

The student (Tanaka Elvis Sikwavaile) aged 19 is accused of allegedly extorting US$15 000 from the plaintiff who is now playing victim,to facilitate the withdrawal of Zhou’s case which is due at Harare Magistrate court.

Sikwavaile and his accomplice Charles Masiyandaita who is a former teacher at Allan Wilson High School, appeared before Harare Magistrate (Appllonia Marutya) facing Extortion charges.

The state allege that Allan Wilson SDC vice-chairperson (Emmanuel Venge) recieved a call from Masiyandaita, informing him that he could not get hold of Zhou who was emancipated on free bail.

Masiyandaita requested Venge to get hold of Zhou and demand US$15 000 to facilitate the withdrawal of his indecent assault case. Masiyandaita would constantly check with Venge demanding money and threatening Zhou saying that he will makesure the matter goes to trial until Zhou is jailed if he didnt give him the demaded out-of-court settlement.

Venge informed Zhou about the demands but Zhou excluded himself from any illegal activities and the mater was immediately reported to Zimbabwe Anti Corruption Commission (ZACC).

ZACC team requested Venge to Masiyandaita to confirm the deal for the extortion bid, they agreed to meet on Montague Shopping Centre, where Masiyandaita and Sikwavaile were apprehended after recieving US$200
