53-year-old Man Arrested For Strangling a 13-year-old To Death

A 53-year-old man from Gokwe has been arrested following the alleged strangulation of a 13-year-old boy whom he had offered to help carry a sack of maize to a grinding mill. The tragic incident reportedly occurred in full view of the boy’s two younger siblings.

Arnold Muchenjekwa is accused of killing Brian Wurawa after refusing to return the sack to the boy.

Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko, spokesperson for the Midlands Police, confirmed the incident, which took place in Muvi Village, Chief Nemangwe area, to Masvingo Mirror.

Following the event, local villagers detained Muchenjekwa and handed him over to the police.
