In a jaw-dropping incident, a 42-year-old man was allegedly kidnapped by six family members in Ruwa, Zimbabwe, who accused him of dating a 14-year-old girl. The kidnappers, led by the girl’s parents, Etheline and Prosper, forced the victim, Stanley Munhungeyi, to withdraw $100 and threatened to unleash a menacing pit bull on him if he didn’t comply.
The family members allegedly assaulted Munhungeyi, bundled him into a vehicle, and took him to Msasa to withdraw cash. When they returned, they called their “uncle” who arrived with the pit bull, adding a terrifying twist to the ordeal. Munhungeyi was detained overnight and forced to call his relatives for ransom.
The neighbors’ plan went awry when they tipped off the police, leading to Etheline and Prosper’s arrest. The other four family members fled the scene, leaving behind a trail of questions. Harare provincial police spokesperson Inspector Luckmore Chakanza confirmed the case, appealing for information to track down the remaining culprits.
This kidnapping saga has left many scratching their heads, wondering what drove the family to such extreme measures. As the investigation unfolds, one thing is certain – this pit bull-fueled drama will be remembered for a long time.
