A pastor from Zvishavane appeared before the Kwekwe Magistrates’ Court facing allegations of s3xually assaulting an 18-year-old member of his congregation in Redcliff.
The National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe (NPAZ) reported that the alleged assault took place on August 11, 2025, at the victim’s residence during a visit by the pastor to the family. It is claimed that the pastor threatened the young man with a firearm before committing multiple acts of s3xual assault.
The victim, deeply shaken by the ordeal, confided in his aunt, who assisted in reporting the case to Redcliff Police Station. Following the report, the pastor was apprehended and has since been remanded in custody. He is scheduled to appear in court again on August 27, 2025, for trial proceedings.
