Zimsec Under Fire Over Exam Chaos

Zimsec is facing fresh criticism over its handling of this year’s public examinations, with allegations of serious logistical breakdowns and possible governance issues. Opposition party leader Linda Masarira is calling for an independent public inquiry into Zimsec’s operations, citing concerns over exam leaks, mismatched subjects, and intimidation of educators.

The Zimbabwe Teachers Association (Zimta) is also urging Zimsec to implement policies curbing exam leaks, with secretary-general Goodwill Taderera emphasizing the need for accountability and transparency.
