President Emmerson Mnangagwa has held talks with Huawei executives in China, discussing potential collaborations to leverage artificial intelligence (AI) in various sectors, including agriculture. This move aims to harness the benefits of AI technology to drive growth and development in Zimbabwe.
During his visit, the President also met with representatives from China Railways Group, a state-owned company, to discuss plans for revamping and expanding Zimbabwe’s rail network. According to Presidential spokesman George Charamba, the Zimbabwean government is on the cusp of finalizing a deal with the Chinese corporate group, paving the way for work to commence on this critical infrastructure project.
