A tragic accident occurred yesterday in the Vilivili area, under Headman Chitanga, when a truck transporting meat from Marondera to Rutenga lost control, resulting in the death of the driver.

According to eyewitnesses, the truck was traveling along a rural road when it apparently lost control, leading to a fatal crash. The driver, whose identity has not been released pending notification of next of kin, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Local authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident, but foul play is not suspected at this stage. The accident has cast a pall of sadness over the community, with many expressing shock and condolences to the family of the deceased.
