The Roof Raiders of Honde Valley: A Tale of Terror…or Just a Really Bad Neighbor?”

Lilian Sango, a 50-year-old mother of three, has moved into her dream home in Gatsi, Honde Valley, but it’s quickly turned into a nightmare. She claims that unseen forces are trying to dismantle her roof every night, and she’s at her wit’s end. Because who wouldn’t be stressed about a haunted house?

The disturbances start around 6 pm and continue until dawn, making it impossible for Sango to sleep. She’s consulted traditional healers, who claim the problem stems from her family lineage. Talk about a family reunion she’d rather not attend.

Sango believes the disturbances are caused by her own family members, which is why she hasn’t reported it to the local authorities. Maybe she’s just trying to keep the peace…or avoid a family feud.

The Zimbabwe National Traditional Healers Association (Zinatha) thinks Sango might be a victim of malevolent spirits sent by jealous individuals. Because who doesn’t love a good spirit fight?

Zinatha claims they can help Sango, but it’s unclear if their methods will work. Maybe she just needs some good old-fashioned exorcisms or a strong dose of skepticism.

This story highlights the enduring belief in supernatural forces in Zimbabwean communities. Whether you believe in spirits or not, Sango’s experience is certainly…interesting.
