In a shocking turn of events, South African authorities have warned that Bongani Mthimkhulu, a suspect in the killing of a female university student, may be hiding in Zimbabwe. Because what’s a good murder plot without a cross-border twist?

Bongani’s partner in crime, Philangenkosi Makhanya, was shot dead by police after being cornered at a residential complex in Amanzimtoti. Before his demise, Makhanya confessed to the murder of Olorato Mongale, a Wits University student who told friends she was going on a date before she was found dead.

According to reports, Makhanya allegedly told someone that Bongani was planning to flee to Zimbabwe. Now, South African police are on high alert, and their Zimbabwean counterparts have been put on notice. Deputy police minister Polly Boshielo vowed to find Mthimkhulu “dead or alive,” because, you know, no stone should be left unturned.

The investigation has revealed that Mthimkhulu and Makhanya were part of a syndicate targeting women in various malls across South Africa. A staggering 22 cases have been linked to the duo, with women coming forward to identify them as the pair that kidnapped and robbed them.

With an extradition agreement in place between South Africa and Zimbabwe, it’s only a matter of time before Mthimkhulu is brought to justice. Will he be found hiding in a dusty corner of Zimbabwe, or will he try to blend in with the locals? The suspense is killing us!

As the search for Mthimkhulu intensifies, one thing is certain – the South African police will leave no stone unturned. Will they find him, or will he manage to stay one step ahead?
