The Bulawayo police are searching for a 33-year-old woman accused of killing her stepdaughter in May 2023. Priscilla Muchape of Northend suburb is wanted in connection with the brutal death of the young girl.
According to police, on the night of May 26, Muchape woke up the stepdaughter and her elder sister to go to the toilet. The younger girl refused to wake up, angering Muchape who then assaulted her violently. She hit the child with her hands, kicked her stomach and pushed her against the wall.
The girl collapsed after screaming once, sustaining serious head injuries that led to her death. An examination of the body showed multiple injuries including a cut on the left ear, bruises on the legs and feet, and a swollen head, indicating abuse at the hands of the stepmother.
After committing the crime, Muchape fled the scene and her whereabouts are currently unknown. Anyone with information on Muchape’s whereabouts is urged to contact Assistant Inspector Gundu on 0773 265 151 or ZRP Khumalo on 02922- 74491. They can also report anonymously to the nearest police station.
The police are determined to track down Muchape and bring her to justice for the brutal killing of the defenseless young girl.
