MBERENGWA – The Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC) is currently at Mberengwa Rural District Council offices for routine inspections to see if there are no anomalies in the books of accounts.

Mberengwa District Development Coordinator (DDC) Vafios Hlabati confirmed the visit to The Mirror and said that the team will be at the local authority for 10 days.

Mberengwa Rural District Council Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Thompson Maeresera confirmed the visit and said it was their routine system of checking on councils.

“We have ZACC officials at our offices. They usually do this as part of their routine check ups.

“There might be some allegations which they want to investigate, let them do their job and discover for themselves,” he said.
