Mother’s of Special Heroes, a non-governmental organization supporting children with neurodevelopmental conditions like Autism and Cerebral Palsy, held their 4th Anniversary and Christmas Party for the kids. The event brought together parents, caregivers, supporters, and partners to share festive cheer with the children.
“The children were filled with joy and love as they celebrated their early Christmas party as a community,” said Ms Chantelle Shangare, a leading voice for the organization. She urged the community to remember and support these mothers and caregivers on their unique journey caring for children with neurodevelopmental conditions.
Ms Shangare, who champions inclusivity and fights against discrimination and abuse of children with these conditions, praised initiatives like Emirates’ neurodiverse-friendly flights. She encouraged mothers and caregivers to look forward to a better year with sustainable projects and empowerment skills for self-sustainability and independence.
“Children with neurodevelopmental conditions need our support at family, community, and national level,” Ms Shangare emphasized.
The event has taught on the importance of inclusivity and support for neurodiverse kids and their caregivers.
