In a bizarre incident, a suspect allegedly stole a Toyota Prado after being asked to help find the owner’s misplaced keys. Because, who wouldn’t trust a stranger with their car keys?
The complainant, engrossed in a soccer match at the shopping centre, asked the suspect for assistance. The suspect found the keys and, instead of returning them, decided to take the car for a joyride. Talk about a “key” opportunity.
Fortunately, the Zimbabwe Republic Police were on the case and managed to recover the stolen vehicle. Kudos to the police for their swift action!
This incident serves as a reminder to be cautious when sharing personal belongings, even in seemingly harmless situations. And maybe keep a closer eye on your keys…or invest in a key tracker.
