Maningi Youth Soccer Academy Kicked Out of Zimbabwe Women’s Premier League

In a shocking turn of events, Maningi Youth Soccer Academy has been given the boot from the Zimbabwe Women’s Premier Soccer League, effective immediately. But don’t worry, the academy won’t be left with a ball in their court – the league has officially confirmed their expulsion, citing voluntary resignation and a slew of issues, including insufficient funding, inconsistent player attendance, misconduct, and insubordination .

The league’s Executive Board had been keeping a close eye on Maningi Youth Soccer Academy, and it seems their lack of financial muscle, combined with questionable behavior, ultimately led to their downfall. Despite the academy’s contributions to women’s football, the league decided it was time to bid farewell .

The Zimbabwe Women’s Premier Soccer League claims it’s committed to promoting inclusivity, excellence, and dialogue within the sport. With Maningi Youth Soccer Academy out of the picture, the league is hoping to usher in a new era of professionalism and sustainable development. Only time will tell if this move will have a positive impact on Zimbabwean women’s football .

While Maningi Youth Soccer Academy’s departure from the league is a significant blow, they have expressed interest in developing young talent and fostering teamwork. Perhaps this expulsion will allow them to focus on nurturing their young players and producing future stars like Tanyaradzwa Chihoro, who played for Zimbabwe’s senior women’s team .
