A 48-year-old Bulawayo man was fined US$120 after being convicted of assaulting his wife during a domestic dispute.
Never Moyo, of Emthunzini suburb, appeared before magistrate Ncube and was found guilty of physical abuse. He was ordered to pay the fine by 16 January 2026, failing which he will serve 30 days in prison.
Ms Kuzu told the court that the incident occurred on 17 December, when Moyo’s wife, Miriam Ncube (34), returned home around 7pm from piece work. The accused allegedly questioned her movements before slapping her twice on the head.
The complainant fled the house and sought shelter at a neighbour’s home before reporting the matter to police, leading to Moyo’s arrest.
