A video of Dr. Ian Ndlovu speaking about the $8,000 request for transferring the title deed of Divine Kingdom Baptist Ministries’ land has gone viral on X (formerly Twitter). In the clip, Dr. Ndlovu is seen passionately appealing to his congregation for financial support.

The request has sparked mixed reactions online, with some praising Dr. Ndlovu’s dedication to his church and others questioning the timing and purpose of the request, given the recent lavish gifts he received from Wicknell Chivayo. As the video continues to circulate, the congregation and online followers are left wondering: Is Dr. Ndlovu’s request a genuine call for support, or is it a sign of something more complex?

Online reactions range from skepticism to outrage. Some users express their thoughts:

Parrot @ZimParrot tweets, “Anopenga chete. Who in his/her right mind can donate towards that lost cause? Ngaatengese imwe yemota dzaWeaknell abhadhare,” implying that the church is a lost cause and that Dr. Ndlovu should use the gifts he received instead.
Iam_Ndodana @IamNdodana comments, “These churches are registered as family business most the time… when these papa die their kids inherit the assets,” suggesting that Dr. Ndlovu’s church might be a family-run business.
Tapera ES @TaperaEmmanuel bluntly states, “his Church followers are real IDIOTS Criminals!” criticizing Dr. Ndlovu’s followers for blindly supporting him.
MS Connect @msconnect690 writes, “You’ll be surprised others will be selling their assets to sponsor his personal initiatives because he is hiding behind scripture. How about you sell the luxury car and cover the costs baba,” questioning Dr. Ndlovu’s motives and suggesting that he might be using the church for personal gain.

As the debate rages on, one thing is clear: Dr. Ian Ndlovu’s request has sparked a heated discussion about faith, finance, accountability and greed.
