In a shocking turn of events, a Mutasa man, Kudzai Mutimbanyoka, has accused his former best friend, Life Chidakwa, of wrecking his marriage by engaging in an affair with his wife, Beverley Chiwanga. But that’s not all – Chidakwa is now allegedly bragging about the incident, claiming he “tasted the forbidden fruit” and taught Mutimbanyoka a lesson by sleeping with his wife. Because, you know, that’s exactly what you do when you’re a good friend.

The drama began when Mutimbanyoka confided in Chidakwa about his marital issues, only for Chidakwa to exploit this trust and seduce Chiwanga with promises of college tuition and a flat in town. The court ordered Chidakwa to pay damages consisting of four head of cattle, one goat, and one cockerel as recompense for his betrayal. But Chidakwa allegedly hasn’t paid the full amount, and now Mutimbanyoka is seeking justice.

Chidakwa is accused of flaunting the affair, publicly degrading Mutimbanyoka’s reputation, and even claiming he bribed Chief Mutasa to escape punishment. The Chief is not amused, warning Chidakwa that if he doesn’t pay the remaining US$300, the court will order the attachment of his vehicle. “This is your final warning. This court has attempted to treat you with respect, but you are behaving like a spoiled child,” Chief Mutasa said.

Mutimbanyoka recounted how Chidakwa had exploited his trust, secretly taking his wife on joyrides, and even gifting her a cap that Mutimbanyoka unknowingly wore in public.
