Arsenal have officially been crowned Premier League champions after Manchester City dropped points against Bournemouth, ending Arsenal’s 22-year wait for the title.
Scenes of celebration erupted outside the Emirates Stadium, with fans and players partying deep into the night as Mikel Arteta’s side completed one of the club’s greatest modern achievements.
But while Arsenal celebrate glory, the spotlight has also shifted to a dramatic relegation battle involving Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United.
Spurs’ 2-1 defeat to Chelsea means their survival fight will go down to the final day of the season.
Now, the equation is simple:
Spurs host Everton
West Ham face Leeds United
One of the two clubs will be relegated.
Tottenham remain just above the drop zone and know that even a draw against Everton could be enough to survive, but nerves are growing after a difficult season filled with instability and poor form.
Manager Roberto De Zerbi insisted his side showed fight despite defeat at Stamford Bridge and believes Spurs can still avoid disaster if they produce the same spirit against Everton.
The Chelsea game was also surrounded by controversy after Spurs were denied a penalty when Marc Cucurella pulled down Micky van de Ven during a corner situation. VAR ruled the ball had not yet come into play, meaning a penalty could not legally be awarded.
For many Spurs fans, the frustration goes beyond one decision. Anger toward ownership continues to grow, with supporters accusing the club of prioritising business interests over football success.
Now everything comes down to one final afternoon.
Arsenal celebrate as champions.
Spurs fight to avoid humiliation.
West Ham hope for survival.
One season. Two completely different endings.
