A Fool’s Quest to ‘Take Charge’

Assistant Inspector Mandizvidza has taken audacity to a whole new level. In a brazen move, he hijacked a Ford Ranger from the ZRP Headquarters in Harare, announcing over the radio that he was “taking charge of the ZRP with immediate effect.” Not stopping there, Mandizvidza issued a bold decree demanding all Chinese nationals vacate Zimbabwe within 48 hours — a proclamation that sent shockwaves across the nation.

The Zimbabwe Republic Police quickly mobilized, ordering all stations in Mashonaland East to set up roadblocks and intercept the rogue officer along with the stolen vehicle. Mandizvidza, seemingly unfazed, warned that any attempts to capture him might spark unrest, urging calm with the words: “Hapana munhu anorowa, vanhu vachafamba zvakanaka, vagobuda. If you really love your country support me.”

This self-styled coup attempt, fueled by a stolen police vehicle and grandiose claims of leadership, has left the ZRP on high alert as they hunt for the elusive Mandizvidza.
