In a stunning victory, Zimasco (Pvt) Ltd, a leading ferrochrome producer in Zimbabwe, has secured a High Court order against lawyer Wilson Manase. Manase’s alleged attempt to hijack the company using a court order referencing a non-existent entity, Sinosteel Zimasco (Pvt) Ltd, has been thwarted.
According to court papers, Manase claimed to be the corporate rescue practitioner for Zimasco without any authority. The company’s management was caught off guard, stating that Manase’s actions were an attempt to assume a role he was not entitled to. The court ultimately granted Zimasco an interdict against Manase’s claims, putting a spoke in his wheel.
But that wasn’t all – Manase and his associates allegedly tried to strong-arm Ecobank into handing over control of Zimasco’s accounts.
