Evidence Chari Apologizes to Ex-Wife Anesu Mwarianesu Amidst Marriage Breakdown

Zimbabwean public figure Evidence Chari has issued a public apology to his ex-wife Anesu Mwarianesu, taking responsibility for the breakdown of their marriage. In a heartfelt social media post, Chari acknowledged his shortcomings and expressed regret for causing pain and instability in their home.

Chari stated that the breakdown of their marriage is “in large part, a consequence of my own shortcomings,” and accepted full responsibility for his actions. He apologized directly to Mwarianesu, honouring her strength and expressing deep regret for contributing to her emotional burden.

“To Anesu, I honour the strength you showed throughout everything. You carried emotional weight, I deeply regret that my behaviour contributed to that burden,” Chari wrote. “You deserved better from me, and for that, I sincerely apologise.”

Chari also sought to defend Mwarianesu from public speculation and rumours, urging the public to lay such narratives to rest. “Let us respect her dignity and refrain from further speculation,” he said.

Concluding his statement, Chari asked for the matter to be “spoken of with consideration,” seeking respect for Mwarianesu’s privacy during this time.

Mwarianesu had earlier announced the end of their marriage, prompting Chari’s response.
