A shocking discovery was made early this morning in Area 3 of Dangamvura, Mutare. A man’s lifeless body was found lying face-up under a footbridge, sending ripples of fear through the local community. Passersby stumbled upon the body and quickly alerted the authorities.

The police responded promptly, removing the body from the scene and taking it to Victoria Chitepo Provincial Hospital mortuary for further examination. The identity of the deceased remains a mystery, and the cause of death is yet to be determined.

When our team visited the scene, residents were visibly shaken. Many expressed concern over the safety of the area, particularly for women and children who frequently use the footbridge. Mrs. Muchaneta Nemate, a local resident, shared her distress, “This is very disturbing. We use this path daily, even late at night. The deceased had scratches on his face, and his body was in a state of decomposition. We’re worried that someone could die here without anyone noticing.”
