Meanwhile in South Africa …A horrifying and deeply tragic event has shaken a community after a 48-year-old taxi driver, responsible for transporting children to a local preschool (creche), allegedly raped a 4-year-old child and failed to drop her off at school.
The child’s teacher, noticing her absence, contacted the child’s mother, who was shocked and alarmed to learn that her daughter had not arrived at school. Upon returning home from work with her husband, the distraught parents mobilized friends and neighbors in a desperate search for the missing child.
Their search led them to the taxi driver’s house. When he refused to open the door, the gathered crowd forcibly broke into the home, only to find the young girl lying on the floor, bleeding and gravely injured. The perpetrator had locked himself in a bedroom, preventing immediate assistance to the child.
Tragically, as the enraged crowd’s anger escalated, they set the house on fire with the driver inside. The man did not manage to escape the blaze. The young child, despite efforts to aid her, succumbed to her injuries and passed away.
