The Zimbabwe School Examinations Council (ZIMSEC) will release the 2025 Ordinary Level examination results this Friday at midday, the Minister of Primary and Secondary Education, Professor Torerayi Moyo, has confirmed.
Announcing the development on social media on Thursday, the minister said the release marks an important moment in the national education calendar and reflects ongoing improvements in how examinations are managed in Zimbabwe.
Professor Moyo praised ZIMSEC for upholding professionalism, transparency and efficiency throughout the examination process, saying the timely publication of results demonstrates growing institutional capacity within the education sector.
He said safeguarding the integrity of national examinations remains a key government priority, as credible assessments help build trust among learners, parents, schools and institutions of higher learning.
Thousands of candidates who sat for the 2025 Ordinary Level examinations are expected to begin accessing their results through official ZIMSEC platforms from 12 noon on Friday.
The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education reiterated that strengthening service delivery in schools remains central to national development goals, with education viewed as a pillar for long-term socio-economic transformation.
The announcement follows last week’s release of 2025 A-Level results, which recorded a national pass rate of 95.75%, representing a 1.17 percentage point increase from the 94.58% achieved in 2024. ZIMSEC said the improvement came despite a rise in the number of candidates who sat for the examinations.
